OUT OF THE BLUE… (1ST POST)
The sun was setting; there was an orange glare across the horizon. It
was peaceful, almost divine. The birds were returning to their nests.
The red sun was halfway set while other half still peeked over the majestic
mountains.
The forests were calm and peaceful, the grass, the trees, lakes,
streams…even the animals were quiet.
Everyone except him.
Beside the edge of a forest in some part of china, a figure was moving
in the light of the setting sun.
He was too fast to be human…
A wooden staff in hand about 5 feet long, which revolved around his
body, now and then cutting the air and making ‘wooshing’ sounds.
A rather dirty and ragged piece of cloth covered his body, it was torn
in pieces… he wore a dirty cheap shoes made of cloth…they were also ragged and
torn in places. Overall he seemed to be dressed like a monk…rather a shaolin
monk…except the cleanliness of cloths and the bald head…
The man continued to move…rather practice…maybe martial arts or maybe
kung-fu whatever the hell it was…
Even the finest of the martial arts trainers or monks could never copy
his moves or match even 10% of his speed…
The dude was freaking fast…!!!
He was fighting an imaginary enemy with a staff which he was holding…nor
that any enemy could have matched at his level of technique and fighting
skills…
He attacked the air with his staff…left right and sideways…then some
summer saults…some backflips…round kick…punches…upper cut …straight kick and
then again a front flip and hitting the thin air with his staff….all within a
second…or maybe few eye blinks…
It was amazing….the world would have gone crazy if they saw something
like this…people of showbiz would surely get orgasms…
Or maybe people would have been afraid of him…he was too fast… too
strong… too inhuman…
Although he appeared to be just like any other man.
He rotated the wooden staff expertly, the staff nearly became a blur, it
resembled a fan’s blade. It was almost like the staff was a part of his body.
The legendry martial arts continued for some time.
The sun was set now; the horizon was orange and violet, it would soon
become dark.
Finally he stopped.
He was drenched in sweat; he was practicing continuously for the past 3
days or 72 hours…!!!
He stopped…and gazed towards west…holding his staff like a stick…lost in
thoughts…he was calm now but his frustration haven’t vanished…it would not
vanish until he found - HIM.
***
She fancied him….no she loved
him….there was no other word to describe her emotions towards him. For the last
couple of hours she was hiding behind some bushes watching him do his training
or ‘meditation’ - as he preferred to
call it.
Others would have been spell bounded by his power and stamina…but she;
she was just spell bounded by him, she felt unconditional love…for him. Why? She had no idea.
For the past three days it had become a routine for her to come into
this dense forest and watch him from behind the bushes… she didn’t dare to
reveal herself or talk to him as she knew how moody he was and she was also
afraid of his temper…
The 18 year old girl was the daughter of the village whore.
She was the most sorry creature one could lay his eyes on. She was an
abomination that’s how the village described her… a curse, inhuman, a disease…a
witch, tramp, skank…whore’s daughter was
her commonly used nick names…
Actually her face was a bit deformed and that would mean to say it
politely… her oversized front teethes were clearly visible as they passed down
till her lower lip.
Her brown eyes were always pointing in opposite directions. Her head was
a bit large as compared to her body. Her nose was crooked, and to add to her beauty the cruel
time had given her some scars on the cheek and forehead.
Her hair were jet black and were always open, they were dirty to the
core…she was skinny as a leaf; short heighted, with underdeveloped breasts and
normal asian complexion.
She wore an old dress of brown and white which was ragged and torn in
places…it was evident that she was very poor…a poor Chinese village girl…
Fate and god have never been kind to her. Being a teenage ugly daughter
of the village whore wasn’t something that could be called gracious, especially
when her mum died when she was just 15 years old.
There was no one to look after her. She begged for food and shelter in
the streets and was often chased by the village women and sometimes humiliated
and abused by the men.
Until one day a shaolin monk who was wandering from her village took
pity on her and took her under his protection.
The village respected the monks too much, so they left the girl alone.
From that day on she used to do small errands for the shaolin temple
which was situated closer to the village. Technically she wasn’t allowed there
but the old monk was one of the masters and was kind and pitied her. She was
given an abandoned hut made by some shaolin students at the footholds of the
temple.
She did small errands for the temple like bringing food supplies from
the village and in return she was given some leftover food and a pair of
clothes yearly.
She would sometimes sneak in one of the chambers where there was a
statue of –Buddha; and weep before him
for hours, she had no friends and no one to talk to, the monks and the students
weren’t exactly the friendly type.
She grew watching them train and meditate and perform martial arts, she
wasn’t afraid of the forests or the hills, or darkness; she only had a lantern
in her hut.
It was a few months later when HE arrived at the shaolin temple,
She was there when he arrived; she was delivering some vegetables and
cloths from the village to the temple.
He was confused and asked her way to the main master.
She answered him in her tribal Chinese, which he seemed to understand.
The boy was in his early twenties, he looked like an Indian, he had
short hair and whitish complexion. He was quite handsome. It seemed he was
there to become one of the pupils of the temple.
It was nothing new for her, she had seen many monks and students,
masters and teacher….but the way he talked, his voice and his aura… she fell
for him instantly.
She kept looking at him as he made his way to the huge steps of the
temple…
For the first time in her life the 16 year old girl wished to be
beautiful.

The masters and the monks didn’t know that the simple Indian lad would
rise to become one of the legends the temple had ever seen…!!!
He was different from the start, nobody knew where he was from or what
he was doing here or what his motive was.
On many occasions, he had shown and done things which were regarded as
inhuman, superhuman or even supernatural.
In a few months he mastered every chamber and every technique that the
temple had to offer, his power was enormous and even the monks and the masters
were baffled by him; though they never showed it to him.
After that he taught for a few months.
However his heart was somewhere else, it was easy to guess that he was
already trained in some greater arts and the temple was just an excuse to put
his mind off things. In his spare time he meditated for long hours before the
Buddha statue….sometimes for days…and weeks… sometimes he had long
conversations with the supreme monk of the temple….
As time went by, few of the pupils and monks who were maybe jealous of
him plotted against him, they proved that he was something else;
inhuman…unnatural… arguments were
supported by facts like nobody ever saw him sleeping or eating…he never scarred
or got tired…he could work endlessly for days and would hardly flinch…
The supreme monk got curious and demanded him to reveal his true
identity…in front of the whole temple….
The boy just stood and said that he was a traveler and was curious to
join temple…mainly for peace….
Nobody believed him and he was abandoned from the temple…the supreme
monk ordered him never to set his foot in the temple again.
There were rumors in the village below that he was challenged by almost
all the masters and powerful monks in a combat the final night…
He defeated all the proud men very easily…after that there was havoc
among the peaceful monks and they all attacked him simultaneously.
The temple haven’t witnessed such battle ever….his style, agility,
power, speed….word among the folks is that he defeated almost 200 armed and
trained monks with only a wooden staff…no one was match for him…many were also
injured…
The supreme monk himself was amazed and afraid of such entity…
However the boy was harmless…he fought only for self defense and didn’t
attack anyone else…
***
After shaolin the boy made a hut in the dense forests below the temple
and started living there…
He was rarely seen outside the hut…only god knows what he was up to…!!!
The people of the village were afraid to go there as there were many
rumors circulating about this mysterious Indian lad… starting from the god of
combat to the devil himself….the one who can’t be defeated…even by the legendry
shaolin monks… etc.
All were afraid to go near him but HER….
To be continued…
